If you subscribe

Your email address goes straight to Kit, the service that sends the newsletter. We don’t keep our own copy. Kit also records which page you signed up on. You confirm by email before anything is sent, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

When you visit

• We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies. It sees things like the page, the referring site, your country and device type, and identifies a visit with a code that’s thrown away after 24 hours. We can’t tell who you are from it.
• Our host, Vercel, handles your IP address to deliver pages. The signup form also uses it briefly to block spam (no more than 10 tries in 10 minutes). We don’t store it.
• We never ask for your location. Conditions are regional, not personal.
• No ads, no ad trackers, no social-media pixels, no session recording.

What stays on your device

Your saved hikes, the region you picked on the map, and whether you’ve dismissed or used the signup prompt are kept in your browser’s storage. They’re never sent to us. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell or share your information, and we don’t build profiles.

Kids

This site isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their emails.

Questions or deletion

Unsubscribe from any email, or write to hello@touchdirtaz.com and we’ll remove your address from Kit.
