Hike at your own risk
Hiking in the Arizona desert is dangerous, especially in heat. Touch Dirt AZ is a planning aid, not a guarantee. Forecasts can be wrong or late, sources can change without notice, trails can close, and the start times here are estimates based on an average walking pace. You are responsible for your own safety and for the people and animals with you. Check the land manager’s page before you go, carry more water than you need, and turn back when conditions or your body say to. In an emergency, call 911.
To the extent the law allows, Touch Dirt AZ and the people behind it aren’t liable for injury, loss or damage from using this site or relying on anything on it.
Where the information comes from
Conditions come from public sources such as the National Weather Service and NOAA. Trail details come from land managers, published reports and our own visits, and each hike lists its sources. We’re not affiliated with any agency or park. See how hikes are researched.
